III Act – Parma Capolavori d’Arte e di Cucina
A tour dedicated to Parma’s unmissable monuments, its artistic heritage so closely intertwined with its cuisine, and the culinary excellence that has earned Parma the title of UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy – the first and only one of its kind in the world.
STOPS
- Palazzo della Pilotta
- Teatro Farnese
- Piazza Duomo
- Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta
- Teatro Regio

After meeting at the Teatro Regio, we will move on to the Palazzo della Pilotta, a magnificent multi-purpose building commissioned in the early 17th century by Ranuccio I Farnese and modelled on the Escorial, where you can admire some of the masterpieces in the National Gallery dedicated to the culinary traditions of the European royal houses of past centuries, as well as other works of art. We will visit the Teatro Farnese, a Baroque masterpiece inaugurated by Claudio Monteverdi and the venue for fascinating performances: from 17th-century tournaments to operas and concerts of contemporary music.
As you stroll through the city’s ancient neighbourhoods, where you can admire hidden corners that are typical of local traditions, the tour will take you to the monumental masterpieces of the medieval Piazza Duomo, including a visit to the Cathedral, where you will discover ancient depictions of the region’s traditional culinary practices.
The tour will conclude at the Teatro Regio, a temple not only to opera but also to fine dining, which has traditionally been enjoyed in the backstage boxes during performances, both then and now; in addition to a tour of the various areas of the Regio, visitors will have the opportunity to enter one of the exclusive backstage boxes, which are still owned by the box-holders.
FINAL AT THE GRAN CAFFÈ OF THE TEATRO REGIO
For an exclusive and comfortable break at the end of your ‘Dal Regio Al Regio’ tour, or to recharge your batteries before your visit, we invite you to book a special social gathering in the Gran Caffè del Teatro Regio: breakfast, afternoon tea or an aperitif, with menus inspired by the tour itineraries and featuring outstanding PDO products from the Parma food and wine tradition.

ERIKA TEDESCHI, A SPECIAL GUIDE
I was born and raised in Parma and feel a deep connection to my city because of its dynamic and dual nature: that of a refined ducal city and a lively working-class neighbourhood. Having always been passionate about art, I attended the Conservatoire of Music and graduated from the University of Bologna with a degree in Music and Performing Arts. For years I have worked on the stage of the Teatro Regio as a stagehand and set designer, an engaging, exclusive and ‘secret’ profession, as it still holds ancient and hidden knowledge, revealing only its marvellous side to the public. The world of theatre has certainly enhanced my artistic sensibility, allowing me to embark on a new and exciting path: that of a tour guide, a role I have been fulfilling since 2015. The significance of this new professional development lies in being able to convey passion and knowledge to people within a context that is both light-hearted and profound—a quality that only music, theatre and art can offer.
