Zenobia Regina is a chamber opera presented by the Teatro Regio di Parma in a new version in Arabic and Italian. The original composition was commissioned in 2023 by the Munich Biennale as a project on contemporary migration in collaboration with three Syrian artists living as refugees in Berlin, librettist Mohammad Al Attar, singer Mais Harb, and percussionist Elias Aboud, with direction by Isabel Ostermann and musical direction by Susanne Blumenthal.

For the world premiere of the new version — a concert performance at the Teatro Farnese in Parma — all the Berlin-based artists who participated in the original production are invited to take part.
