Balletto di Roma – Il lago dei cigni, ovvero Il canto
A metatheatrical game in which, by now elderly, dancers rehearse Swan Lake. Starting from Cajkovskij and thinking of Cechov’s Swansong, Fabrizio Monteverde re-writes the classical masterpiece of ballet. It is a memorial in which art and life, character and interpreter imitate each other, searching for the (illusory?) happy ending, for the final and eternal embrace of Siegfried and Odette.
