AUDIZIONE A VILLA VERDI
Take an ad in the newspaper that sounds (perhaps) like this: “Maestro Giuseppe Verdi is looking for a singer at Villa Sant’Agata”. Add a young man who dreams of becoming a singer and the grumpy (and historically existed) cook of the Maestro, Ermelinda Berni, who aspires to write her own cookbook. Mix the three ingredients on a busy morning in 1886 in the service rooms of the Verdi estate; you will get a whirlwind of funny situations at constant risk of explosion, with dishes prepared to the rhythm of Nabucco, panic attacks on the verge of hysteria and a great, enormous, misunderstanding.
Serve hot with some ancient Verdi recipes, Audizione a Villa Verdi is a comedy show that, from scene to scene, brings to light tasty anecdotes, historical gossip and food and wine secrets about the composer’s life and, above all, about his relationship with the simple and genuine cuisine of the Emilia region.

Verdi Off in Safety
This special edition of Verdi Off has been conceived and realized in accordance with the safety and health normative for both audience and artists. At the entrance of every venue all participants will find sanitizing gel distributors, and they will be checked with a thermoscanner to monitor their body temperature. The audience is required to bring a mask, to avoid crowding and to respect the one-metre social distancing. The mask needs to be worn by covering both mouth and nose during access, exit and the whole duration of the performance. Before leaving the seats, we invite you to wait for the signal of our staff and their directions in order to avoid unwanted crowding. Reservations are necessary only when requested by following the instructions related to the single events. In order to reserve a seat, it is necessary to provide a telephone number or email address, which will remain stored for 14 days. Reservations are to be made under a single name (it is not allowed to reserve more seats under a unique name) and any nominal change has to be communicated to the ticket office in order to be valid. As the staff will be checking the correspondence between tickets headers and holders at the entrance of every show, please provide a valid identification document in a timely fashion.
