In 1913, the Teatro Regio di Parma organised “Homage for the centenary of Giuseppe Verdi 1813-1913” a special event which was inaugurated on 16 May 1829 with the opera, Zaira, composed for the occasion by Vincenzo Bellini.
A homage to Giuseppe Verdi for the first centenary since his birth. With this cherished reproduction, relive the emotions of that evening two hundred years ago and recall the entire spring season of 1829 that saw, besides La Zaira by Vincenzo Bellini, Mosè e Faraone by Gioachino Rossini and Colombo by Luigi Ricci and two great dances Oreste e Ines di Castro, conceived and composed by Antonio Cortesi.
