VETA PILIPENKO, Mezzosoprano

Born in Chelyabinsk, she began her professional career at the Moscow Chamber Stage and in the Stanislavsky Nemirovich-Danchenko Theaters, where she sang, among others, the Third Lady in The Magic Flute, Lisetta in The World of the Moon, Valencienne in La merry widow of Lehar. She sang Rossini’s Stabat Mater at the Opera in Florence, her debut in the concert world. She then sang Tamburo in Viktor Ullmann’s opera Der Kaiser von Atlantis. Her recent engagements: La Traviata, Falstaff and La Bella dormiente at the Lyric Theater of Cagliari and Rigoletto at the Opéra Bastille and at the Regio of Parma, Luisa Miller at the Regio di Parma.
