Born in 1991 in Ternopil, the Ukrainian tenor Vasyl Solodkyy was initially trained as a pianist. In 2007 he moved to Italy, approaching opera singing at Scuola Santa Cecilia (Rimini). In 2017 he was a finalist of the 7th edition of Renata Tebaldi International Competition. Besides having an intense concert activity, he has performed several times as a chorister in different productions. In 2018 he was among the students of Accademia Verdiana and in 2019 he started working with Fondazione Luciano Pavarotti. Recent roles are Ferrando in Così Fan Tutte, SOI Fiorenza Cedolins production, and Nemorino directed by Angelo Gabrielli.
